The only makeover she witnessed? Her cubicle getting a new plant.

Switching gears from auditor to full-time parent, she rediscovered her love for designing spaces, turning each diaper change into a chance to unleash her creativity, transforming messy situations into marvelous makeovers, and proving that parenthood is the ultimate platform for her design ingenuity to shine.

Meanwhile, Alex's claim to fame? For 18 years, Alex was winning bodybuilding contests and stealing the hearts of retirement home residents with his bulging biceps, brains, and the kindest heart. With a Master’s in Gerontology, Alex became the master of the golden years, transforming life's quirks into comedic treasures and proving that laughter is the ultimate fountain of youth! Trapped in a retirement home where the most exciting renovation involved replacing the bingo cards, Alex's craving for creative chaos reached levels only seen in squirrel-obsessed dogs.

The dynamic duo eventually decided to follow their dreams and focus on construction, design and remodeling, determined to be the Chip and Joanna of the West Coast. Because who needs HGTV when you've got Lana and Alex turning Bay Area homes from "meh" to "OMG!" one project at a time?
